Potential Action Items

  • Employee Positions - if you have been using the start date/end date/note fields on position for an employee you will want to review these as the previous values were tied to the position not the employee
  • Group Permission Review - It would be useful for the System Administrator to review permissions for each group to ensure all proper permissions are given.  Related - See "Default Permissions for New Sections/Sub Sections/Controls" update below under General.
    • New Sub Sections within the main section of Reports have been added. 
    • New Analysis sub section (replacing what previously was named reports) was added in most major sections. 
    • New FinalGrade permission was added under Academics >Students.

    • Additional Features
      • Default Permissions for New Sections/Sub Sections/Controls - previously if a new permission area was added, it was required for the System Administrator to edit/save the User Groups to enable new permissions.  This now runs when logging in to the staff portal.  New Sections and Sub Sections are disabled by default and the System Administrator will still need to go in and update any groups that they want to give that permission to.  For controls within a sub-section, if the user has update permission for that sub-section, the system will add access to the new control by default.  
      • Process Task List - Added more clear indicators for finding due/overdue items (Requested by EuNC)
      • Standardization of Text to limit abbreviations and text variations

    • Bug Fixes
      • Classes - On entering final grades, instructor note disappeared in certain casses (Reported by NTC-Manchester)
      • Classes - Error Deleting Class Issue (Reported by EuNC)
      • HESA - issue with new context values (Reported by NTC-Manchester)
      • Clearing House Report - heading line adjusted to fit new requirements (Reported by NTS)
      • Classes - make book/notes have a WYSIWYG editor to match instructor portal (Reported by EuNC)
      • 1098T - Fix to populate 1098T reporting year on Financial Aid award reversal (Reported by NTS)
    • Additional Features
      • Classes - Students taking a class as an audit will not show up in list of students to be graded (Requested by EuNC)
      • Analysis - New Term End Exam report for Senate grades ( ANU)
      • Student - add new permission for Final Grade to hide all grades/print grades, as some workers should not see it (Requested by ANU)
      • Student Degree Track History - Add Additional Info, Reason End, Degree Notes, and Degree Pathway (Requested by EuNC) 
      • Proposed Schedule Analysis - Does not automatically load students with proposed schedules. Added more filter fields to allow loading of smaller groups of students (Requested by ANU)
  • Human Resources
    • Bug Fixes
      • Employee Position fields for start date/end date/notes were tied to the generic position and not the employee's position (Reported by EuNC)
  • Financial Aid
    • Bug Fixes
      • COD - Added updated fields and relationships (Requested by NTS)
  • Reports
    • Additional Features
      • qStuDTrk - Add Primary Campus Location (Requested by EuNC)
      • Redesign
        • This area has been redesigned so that the various areas are more clearly defined with the choices being tailored to their respective function.
          • Analysis - similar to the other major functional areas
          • Advanced Queries - ability to create complex queries that can be run directly or incorporated into Reports or Dashboards.
          • Report Configuration - ability to create custom reports that can be selected and run by selected groups and users.
          • Dashboard Configuration - ability to create graphical or tabular dashboards for quick access to data in a compact display format.
          • Document Merge - An ability to create reusable mail merges that can be sent to documents or emails.
        • You will want to check the group permissions to this area to make sure they are set accurately for those that have access.
  • System Administration
    • Additional Features
      • General Reports has been taken off of the menu. The main configurable parameters for schools can be done in permissions in Reports/Report Configuration.
      • Host > Auto Emails - Allow the various emails sent to students and advisors from proposed schedule process to be enabled or disabled (Requested by ANU)
  • Student Portal
    • Bug Fixes
      • Print Schedule - make classification wrap so it doesnt cut off long text (Reported by ANU)
    • Additional Features
      • Registration - Don't show online classes for government sponsored students unless the student has a student category of "GSS Student Approved for Online" (ANU)
      • Progress - Enhanced PDF report (Requested by ANU)
      • Proposed Schedule related emails can now be enabled or disabled in System Administration > Host (Requested by ANU)
  • Instructor Portal
    • Additional Features
      • Classes - Students taking a class as an audit will not show up in list of students to be graded (Requested by EuNC)
      • Department/Divison Chair Heads can now have access to all advisees/classes within that Department/Division
      • Advisor - Proposed Schedule related emails can now be enabled or disabled in System Administration > Host (Requested by ANU)
