This update includes a few enhancements, but in general, the big things should be invisible.  We have upgraded the underlying system that GNECsis is built on, and while doing so, we went through and fixed a few related bugs (as well as a few unrelated bugs we found along the way).   Here are the other updates that are included:

Admissions

• Prospects - Add preferred Patron Type to prospect, and set it when becomes a student
• Prospects – If Host Patron Bar Code Length > 0, then calculate the patron bar code when they become a student.  It is the prefix + the person id (padded to desired length)
• Prospect/church/organization/school – Add address line 2 and 3 to address grid

Academics

• Alumni – Make save on new person take you back to original page
• Alumni – Hide add address and combine mail buttons in readonly mode
• Class – Add remove classroom button to class
• Course – Allow up to 20 character course number
• Grade Scale – Add Duplicate button
• Grade Scale – Allow US Grade scales to have number class grades
• Student/Person/Faculty – Add address line 2 and 3 to address grid
• Transcript – Allow a memo/note for a particular student for a particular type of transcript
• Degree Tracks – add ranking (order) to show the order they should show for a student
• Student – show active username if there is one, if not show inactive one

HR

• Employee – Make save on new person take you back to original page

Student Accounts

• Add payment contract to aging printed report (Was on top of financial hold field causing confusion)

• Users – tweek to show only active search
• Custom Help Files – link file name to see file
• Remove teachers from moodle when gnecsis updates
• Library Integration bug fix
• Host – Add patron bar code prefix and length to host
• AD Email – Use preferred name instead of first name if exists

Other (Discussed above)

• Multiple other minor bug fixes/process adjustments
• Upgrade underlying software version

Reports

• Add Home Email to Queries

Faculty Portal

• Advisors – removed the request for professor permission for classes enrolled after start of class.  Existing requests for permission from instructors still need to be approved before they will be sent to registrar, but no new requests will be sent out.  There is already a built in mechanism that will email professors (just to let them know) when the registrar drops or removes a student from a class or adds a student to the class after the add/drop date.
