Responses to Registrar approval or non-approval of proposed schedule

If the registrar does not approve a proposed schedule, the student isn't notified. I think this is the same if they are approved.
Can we get a trigger that emails the student on approval or non-approval so the student is informed? I think ideally, non-approval would be an editable email so the Registrar can give reasoning, but at least a notification of some sort. Approval could be auto generated that "proposed schedule was approved" with the list of approved classes.

I am not sure it is that straight forward.  Currently no emails are sent automatically when the registrar is processing.  The registrar has many options.  

  1.  Generate all
  2. Generate Selected Students
  3. Generate Selected Student for term
  4. Delete 
  5. Go to the student and register them manually
  6. Generate and then go to the student and add other classes manually.

Generate is the easy case.  But just because their proposed schedule is deleted doesn’t mean it is rejected….

Can we get some type of email so that the student is informed when their initial registration is processed/changed one way or another?

I have made the following updates to be included in the next

I have made the following updates to be included in the next release:

  • When Generate is selected, an email will be sent to the student notifying them of the approval and telling them to login to the student portal to verify their schedule.
  • Email Student button has been added next to the students name to allow easy access to contact the student with questions or to notify them of changes to their proposed schedule.  This should help handle any other non approval cases since those are harder to send a standard message for.
  • Student Record button has also been added next to the students name in order to make it easier to check info on the students record.
