Can the system help us to automatically classify students as either 1st Year, 2nd Year....based on the number of units/courses (Not credits) completed?
Here are the rules of thumb:
For Undergraduate
i. First Year -Any student who has completed 14 units or less (Can only enroll for level 1 units)
ii. Second Year -Any student who has completed more than 14 up to 28 units (Once the count reaches 14, student can enroll for level 2 units)
iii. Third Year -Any student who has completed more than 28 units and up to 42 units (Once the count reaches 28, student can enroll for level 3 units)
iv. Fourth Year -Any student who has completed over 42 units (Student can enroll for level 4 units once the count reaches 42)
For Diploma
i. First Year -Any student who has completed 12 units or less (Can only enroll for level 1 units)
ii. Second Year -Any student who has completed more than 12 units (Once the count reaches 12, student can enroll for level 2 units)
For Masters
i. First Year -Any student who has completed 12 units or less (Can only enroll for level 1 units)
ii. Second Year -Any student who has completed more than 12 units (Once the count reaches 12, student can enroll for level 2 units)

Each school is so different when it comes to their student classifications that we have found it best NOT to automatically change anything. This has been moved to On Hold.
