Photo rotation error

Folks,

Good morning! I hope you're doing well.

Allison at Cliff College is reporting that student photos are displaying incorrectly rotated in student records. This isn't a problem we've had that I can recall, but we do generally take student photos in portrait mode.

Does GNECsis read photo Exif orientation data to display photos?

Not a major issue, but I thought I'd flag it while it was on my mind. Let me know if you think it's a problem with Cliff's systems rather than GNECsis, and I can get Matt to investigate whether they need to update something on their end (browser, etc).

GNECsis uploads and displays

GNECsis uploads and displays photos as they are.  If they are rotated incorrectly, you will need to rotate them before uploading.

Right, I've got it. So, the issue then is that Windows 10 automatically adjusts orientation based on the EXIF data tag, so all photos look the 'right way up' in file explorer, even if they've been rotated; GNECsis doesn't read this tag. So, folks will need to manually open and re-save photos without an Orientation EXIF tag to get them to display correctly in GNECsis, if they aren't.

Just in case any other folks have trouble!
