I would like to request that a feature be added to student accounts that would allow me to enter payment plan data and be able to track those plans for late payment. Also a feature that would automatically add a late fee to a students account if the payment is late. We charge a $25.00 late payment fee.

The payment contract can record a payment plan as a source of funds but does not directly manage the plan.
This will get added to the list of requested enhancements.
Alternatively, It might be worth looking into a third party payment plan companies. I have been part of past institutional cost analysis and certain plans can possibly save the school money by costing less than the internal labor to support doing it in house. Some of the costs for the plan are covered by the students and late payments etc are managed by the third party. Some options to look into is AMS, Sallie Mae, TMS.
