Folks,
Is is a bug? Is it a feature? No! It's a tweak!
GNECsis > MOODLE integration is working beautifully and saves us a whole load of time. One minor request if it's possible - when new classes are pushed from GNECsis to MOODLE, could they be set to inherit the status of the categrory they're being imported into? So, for example, if a load of classes are being added to "Spring 2020-2021" Category on MOODLE, and that Category is set to 'invisible', could it automatically take note of that?
At the moment, the classes will port into a hidden category but all be visable, so we scramble to hide them before students start jumping into their empty or part-filled classes and getting confused. It's not a big deal if it's a difficult thing to implement (we'll just keep hiding them manually!), but if it's an easy change, I'd love to see it!
Many thanks.
Hi Rob,
That is the way it should work. I checked your Moodle site, and in your course creation settings you have "show" as the default. I *think* that may be what is doing it. Change that to hide and see if it helps.

Hmm, I don't seem to have that subsection under Site Administration - perhaps it's not visable to me?

Your assigned Role in Moodle sounds like it does not have the right permissions/Capability.
I will see if Alan can give more detailed feedback on how you can be granted the capability.

Hi Rob,
I checked and you are an admin, so you should be able to do this. I've attached a screenshot.
Since you are an admin, it won't allow me to "login as" you.

This is what it looks like on the course settings page.
