Hello, we have a graduate who has continued on to PhD studies at our school. She also is the Director of Research and assists in teaching some classes. I heard from our IT that it is not possible for a single GNECsis ID to attach to an active student and an active instructor? Is this true? If not, may I just peform a merge with the target as the old account (which includes her classes in which she enrolled as a student)? Thank you!
Hello,
The short answer is yes. The student and the instructor records can be merged but without more details of the specific student it can have several steps and hurdles that need to be resolved. For that reason a propose the below.
I will reach out to you directly. I think it best if we have a Zoom call and I can work with you on the intricacies of merging. There have been a lot of updates and changes to the merge functions and it would be good for me to go over those with you. I am hoping to have revampt instructions on the merged process soon as well as the merge functions have changed a lot in the last couple months.
