DMin Residency fee

Hi,

I just noticed today that the DMin residency fee billing rules reverted back to $200.00, It should be $300.00.

Can I get an update on when

Can I get an update on when this issue will be resolved?  I have students paying their bills and would like them to be correct.

Transaction Codes by Term Needs to be Updated

According to the Transaction Codes by Term page, it is 300 for 2019-2020 Fall and Spring,  and 200 for 2020-2021 Fall, Spring, and SUmmer.  You can update the amount

Since I have not done this

Since I have not done this before can I get some directions on how to change the dates.  I do not know what happened as some of the students have the $300.00 charge for this year and then after the update it changed to $200.00.

Steps

I am sorry you have had issue with this.  

Go to Student Accounts.

Go to Administration.

Go to Transaction Codes by Term.

Select "2020-2021 Fall Term" from the Term dropdown.

Look down the list for "Fee-DMIN Residency" select the update button.

All of the terms values are listed here.  You can change the value for all terms on this screen.

Currently the 2020-2021 Terms all have 200.  My guess is that when you create a new term that the terms will inheret the Default Amount as their starting values. Thus my recomendation is to update the Default amount to 300.

When you make the update to the 2020-2021 terms and run billing again for the Fall, the value should automatically be updated. 

Using a list of all DMIN students you should be able to do the Billing Update Contact list group function to find the students that would have a new DMIN fee and have it generate the updated charges.
