I was hoping to add a new "Automatic Email and Alert" for when someone is made inactive. I would like the email to notify the Information Technology email.
Team determined that at this time there are other features in the system that allow for tracking of inactive and any processes needed. Even an email does not provide a way to validate IT has done what is needed. Thus is it recommended to use one or more of the following.
Task/Procedure - This allows for a task to be assigned that has users required to mark that the task is complete. The list of tasks show up for the user in their tasks list. The tasks can be assigned in bulk to catch the system up on Inactive students/faculty/staff. The tasks send email as you desire above. It also sends reminder emails if a task is not completed by the deadline. (Emails are sent in batch first thing in the morning for all overdue tasks)
Inactive Document can be uploaded in bulk or one at a time. The document container provides the means for recording responses by IT or others as the proccess of inactivations is complete.
I can provide a custom report that returns a list of inactives based on change date. Thus allowing IT or others to have a complete list of inactives to process. This can be run as often as needed.
