Hello, the 26 May 2021 update suggests that Audit button will be visible if either Read/Edit are checked for the group.
I do not see this button on Staff > Academics > Student > Academics > Edit even though Read and Edit are both checked for the Program Directors group.
I also checked the Admin group (of which I am also a member) and both items are checked there.

There are two possibilities.
1. You were in 2 security groups which seems to always cause complications. Each user should only be in one security group. I have removed you from Program Directors as your other user group contained all of the same access as Program Directors.
2. I have found on occasion that the table item that is in the right most column may at times not generate the button but also does not move it down into the colapsed columns. My recommendation is to zoom in and out and see if that causes the button to appear. If it does then let me know so that we can work on a solution for this situation.
