Since the immediate fix for not using the security questions was to turn off resets, we would like to see email verification added instead of security questions as an option. (See resets in Moodle as an example.) This would allow students to reset without opening up their account to answering standard verification questions and not force the students to self serve in another application.

I would like to bump this since all our users are now on @nts.edu emails. It would be helpful to direct them to Genesis for password resets since Genesis will have the capability to send to a personal email instead of a school email. Currently, since school email, Moodle, and Genesis accounts are linked, there is a lockout loop when trying to reset via email.
And just to be clear, we would need the email to be sent to a personal email, not just the preferred email. (or an option to choose possibly)
