We need a place on the Grading input to add in a note for a Mitigating Circumstances Code - that is, if a student has an extension, we would usually add something like "C.1" after their grade to indicate this. This doesn't go on their transcript, but it will need to be pulled out in various reports.
Now, the 'Instructor Final Note' box already exists and would be perfect for this. The issue is that at the moment, we have all grade input done centrally by admin staff through the 'Class' page, and this box is not editable that way. We *could* as a workaround add all admin staff on the Instructor portal and give them access to each lecturer's classes individually, but honestly it would be far more functional if we could amend that box.
Is there an easy way to open up that box so it can be edited by Admin staff through the 'Academics > Class > Grading' area?

As an addendum to that - it would be incredibly useful if this note was visible from the Student's profile, rather than just through the Class portal as it is at the moment. Since this will be primarily used when considering students for progression and graduation, we could do with having it available when you're looking at the student record. So, at the moment the Schedule or Classes/Transfers/Waivers sections of Academics > Students > Schedule and Registration has columns for things like Supp, Special, Midterm etc - this would be a great addition.

I added this field to the student > classes/transfers waivers section, and made it editable in the class grade entry. This is included in version 2.46, which is the next version to be installed.
