Create refund scheduled for semester drops/withdrawals

From email thread: (I assume summer term would be target timeline at this point.)

Subject: Student Refund schedule for drops/withdrawals during Spring 19 term.

Hi. I remember that refund schedule was going to be a rule back when we were first getting started in Genesis. Do you know if the refund rule/schedule has been added to Spring 19 term, and if not, how does it get implemented? What I need is:

If a student drops a course (no ‘w’ on transcript) between the dates of:  2019-01-21 and 2019-01-27         100% tuition and 100% fees refund
If a student withdraws from a course (‘w’ on transcript) between:          2019-01-28 and 2019-02-03         75% tuition refund and 0% fees refund
If a student withdraws from a course between:                                      2019-02-04 and 2019-02-10         50% tuition refund and 0% fees refund
If a student withdraws from a course between:                                      2019-02-11 and 2019-02-17         25% tuition refund and 0% fees refund
If a student withdraws from a course on or after:                                    2019-02-18                                    0% tuition and 0% fees refund

This has now been completed.

This has now been completed.  Dana can help you configure this

  •
    • Student Accounts > Administration > Annual Administration.  Add up to four refund level date cut offs
    • Student Accounts > Administration > Charge Rules.  Add/Update your charge rules.  For example: Refund Full, Refund 75%, Refund Half, Refund 25%, and Has Drops that Get Fees After Refund.
    • Student Accounts > Administration > Charge Rule Sets.  This sets up how much the student should get charged in each case.  When calculating, it compares to previous and subtracts the difference.  You will likely also want to add the “has drops that get fees after refund” to your Fees charge rule set so fees are charged if they haven’t dropped all classes before the appropriate deadline.
