Greetings.
On behalf of Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS), I would like to respectfully request consideration for a limited, role-based access level for Program Directors in GNECsis.
At APNTS, Program Directors need the ability to review and monitor the academic progress of students within their respective programs. However, granting full Staff Portal access may extend beyond the scope of their responsibilities.
May we kindly request the creation of a Program Director access role with the following features and limitations:
- Access to the Advising section only
- Visibility restricted to students within their assigned program

An “Audit Student Record” (read-only) button under Advising to review:
- Course completion
- Curriculum requirements
- Academic standing
- Degree progress
- Inclusion of “Audit – Satisfy” and “Audit – Unsatisfy” buttons for internal program-level evaluation, without modifying official records or system data
- Exclusion of access to financial, HR, and other system-level administrative functions
We believe this enhancement would strengthen program-level oversight at APNTS while maintaining proper system security and clearly defined role limitations.

Thank you for the suggestion.
In Host, there will be a new permission under Advisees called Official Audit.
If this is selected, in Instructor Portal > Advisees on Academics tab, under "Majors, Minors, and Audits", there will be a button next to each row called "Official Audit".
If you click on this, it will give you an error if you are not the head of the department. If you are, it will let you through and show you the same screen as if you are running it in the staff portal with satisfy/unsatisfy options and the run audit pdf with out the "this is unofficial in every way...".
This will be included in the next release.
