I have been marking classes as both Directed Study and Independent Study in the class information, but it is not removing the class from the Add Classes options. I am needing it to not show and was under the impression that these boxes being checked previously removed it from the list of classes students can add.

I looked into this a bit. It appears to be that the data is cached in the browser and even if you "refresh" the webpage the value will stay. Possibly if there were two terms that the process of selecting a different term would "refresh" the list. However currenty there is only one value. I checked using incognito which does not store any local data. When I open it fresh it will correctly not show the class if Class is Directed Study or Class is Independent Study. So it working how you would want. I also noticed that classes that are Closed still show up on the course list. Is this what you would expect?
I have set up a task to see if there is a way to refresh the data on the browser through maybe a reload button or if there is a trick to force refresh? However opening the page fresh in incognito page does show the correct values.

Hi all,
I just found a new instance of this. I even marked the class as closed and it doesn't show on the course schedule but still shows when students go to enroll as an option. Can we look at it again and see if we can get it fixed? This time the class section is BIB640 for 2025-2026 Spring.

I just checked the code, and it was actually only not showing classes with a status of cancelled.
I have changed it so that directed study, independendent study, and special permission required courses will no longer show.
