Send email to all addresses

Hello,

For the longest time, we have had a problem with students not getting their system-sent emails. The emails of course go to the preferred email listed in the profile, but many students simply don't bother to link their different email addresses.

Would it be possible to change the code so that when we send an email through the system it automatically goes to all addresses (preferred/school and personal)?

Hello,

I sent you a full solution but will give a small summary here.

  • Currently there is not a way to send to all email addresses. We have a Brainstorming task to see if a solution could be implemented. However, due to email servers being blacklisted for spam email it is highly recommended that all official school communications go through the school controlled email server.  
  • All students should be able to set up email forwarding of their school email to the email of their choice. This allows them to get the official email to be delivered to their preferred email address.
  • Students can use google and other email servers like outlook to receive their smtp school email. 
  • Its not recommended and its not fully supported but multiple email addresses with commas on school email field, will send to all email addresses. (This could again cause issues with your email server if the server gets on the blacklist due to spam detection)
