When a student drops a unit, syncing does not drop it from Moodle and there is no provision to drop it manually.
How can we solve this so that if a student drops a unit then we sync, the changes reflect on the student account in Moodle?

There are two separate options in the Moodle Integration setup - one to unenroll dropped and one to unenroll withdrawn students. Both were unchecked. I just ticked the box for dropped and pushed over the file so it should be picked up soon by Moodle. That will probably take care of the issue.
If they want to also unenroll withdrawn students, which may or may not be desired, that can be done with the other tick box.
