there are times when we need to search by multiple years without having all of our prospects in the report. Can we add a "check box" or something in the custom query for expected entrance so we can have a range? i.e. choose 2018 or 2018, 2019, 2020

This is a little more difficult because the year field is a text box and not a pick list, but will keep it in mind for the future. For now, you will need to run a separate query for each year and combine them, or run for all and delete the ones you don’t want.
