I have added this to the list of enhancements to the system.

Hi Stephen,
We have the ability to do this at the enrolment level - using the class dates set on the class. You do not have that currently turned on, though, on your server. It is the "Use Date Restrictions on Student Enrolments" option in the Moodle Export Set Up area. There is no direct way with the IMS Enterprise plugin to set the actual class dates. These values are just not read by it, even if I put them into the XML (I have tried before). So, this is a moodle/IMS Plugin issue - you would want to work with the forums to try and get that added to the plugin code. The enrolment dates, however, I believe will do what you want. You can use the Delta Days in order for the date to be a bit before the class starts or a bit after it ends (as these days, then, are the only days the student will be able to see the course). I am guessing, as well, it can't be modified manually in the GUI in Moodle as they don't allow things that are created externally, usually, to be modified by even the administrator. Just a caveat to mention.

Can we separate the delta days so that you can set either/or start and stop dates. Currently, if you have start dates, you need end dates. We just experienced an issue where the delta end date locked students out of a recently ended class. I think I want to add a start but no end, but it doesn't look like I can.
Possibel to separate with two check boxes?

I am closing this as there is not an option that will work with Moodle without them modifying the Moodle moodle side. The XML supports this, but the import on Moodle doesn't. If they decide to write this change on their Moodle host, we can reopen it.
