It seems that when AD has "force password change" set, Genesis will not allow logins. It is unknown when this bug appeared since it is a relatively rare occurrence.
Currently when this happens the message "Invalid Password" is provided to the user. Technically, this is true and is a special case of an invalid password. I have checked and it will take a bit of work to pull this off, so I have put this into the feature request area. From they way it was worded, I think that would be fine with you. So, it could be a bit before we get to it.
