Folks,
Good morning! I've had a request from our Instructors and Attendance team. On the Instructor and Staff portal for classes, when one goes to enter Attendance, it automatically opens the record for the first date of the class, and gives you a drop-down menu at the top to choose which date you would like enter Attendance for.
Now, not to slight our Instructors, but some can have a lot on their mind, and forget to switch the date to the current one. Hopefully this will change as they become more familiar with the system, but I wondered if there's an easy way to change the 'default date' on opening this screen so it is the most recent past class date?
This isn't a biggie or super-important - just one of those quality-of-life things :)

Changed the enter attendance button on both staff and instructor portal to:
Find the next session today or after
If there is one for today, display todays.
If there is not one for today, display the previous one.
If no sessions today or after, display the last one
Person can always change the date to go to which ever they choose.
Also changed it to a save button rather than a save and return button so someone can enter attendance for more than one date without exiting and returning. Still need to save after each date.

Just a quick note - could we examine whether this logic is applying correctly? I'm having Instructors report that the current class is always defaulting to the final class date, so they are sometimes overriding existing attendance without realising.
