These values are not standard and there are many ways they could be calculated or displayed.
I need the follow details.
i. Retention Rate
Retention rate can be calculated from term to term and year to year. Which do you want?
Retention rate can be calculated in many ways and each has its own value. Examples: 1. Pure students enrolled in one term/year still enrolled the following term/year. 2. Eligible to return students who are enrolled in the next term/year. (Excludes graduations, leave of absence etc from the calculation)
Do you want this for the entire school population or broken down by classification or degree/degree track etc.
ii. Probation Rate
Term to term or year to year?
Entire school population or broken down by classification, degree/degree track etc.
iii. Graduation Rate
What cohort of students is used for calculating the Graduation Rate? Also what durration. Examples are 4 year graduation, 6 year graduation, yearly cohort graduation rate.
As above, Do you want it broken down by groups of students? If yes, how do you handle students that have changed programs etc.
iv. 1st Class Honors Rate
Need this defined.
Entire school population or broken down by classification, degree/degree track etc.
v. Progression Rate
Term to term or year to year?
What is used to calculate Progression?
Entire school population or broken down by classification, degree/degree track etc.
*Retention rate can be calculated from term to term and year to year. Which
do you want?*- Let us do this year to year
*Retention rate can be calculated in many ways and each has its own value.

*Do you want this for the entire school population or broken down by

ii. Probation Rate
*Term to term or year to year? *- Term to term, per program (degree track)
*Entire school population or broken down by classification, degree/degree
track etc.*
iii. Graduation Rate
*What cohort of students is used for calculating the Graduation Rate? Also
what durration. Examples are 4 year graduation, 6 year graduation, yearly
cohort graduation rate.*= Proportion of a cohort that graduates within 4 years for a four year program, or two years for the two year programs. Done per program. The change in programs is not very significant. Is it possible to do both, per program and for the whole student population?
*As above, Do you want it broken down by groups of students? If yes, how do
you handle students that have changed programs etc.*
iv. 1st Class Honors Rate
*Need this defined.*- students graduating with a GPA of 3.7 and above
*Entire school population or broken down by classification, degree/degree
track etc.* Can it be broken down per degree track and allow for cumulation?
v. Progression Rate- Year to year. Students have done the credits required for the program to move to the next year. Each year is assumed to be at least 36 credits so above 36 credits is 2nd year, above 72 credits third year, and above 108 credits fourt year. Per program
*Term to term or year to year?*
*What is used to calculate Progression?*
*Entire school population or broken down by classification, degree/degree
track etc.*
