Version Number?

How do I tell what version of Genesis I am running?

Just curious in case I need to cross reference a feature release.

Version Number

The version number is not stored anywhere in the system that you can reference.  The version is used to track when a group of updates are sent to one or more schools.  Some schools due to translation etc. may not be on the same version number.  Kindra emails only the schools that are receiving the versions.  Once all schools are on the same number she is placing the document in the Home page of the forums so its easy to reference the update with the forum post that is related to the update.

The email updates that Kindra sends out is the best way to know what version you are on. The last email you receive for updates is the version your system is running.

Another way

If you have access to the files on your server, you can also open C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\apache-tomcat\webapps\gnecsis\WEB-INF\classes\build.properties and it will show you the version number and the date/time of the last build.

Since the server is no longer

Since the server is no longer on site, any way to get this to display on the host page?

Version 2.56

In the next install, you will be able to see the current version number at the end of the footer of each page.
