I have a number of requests regarding class scheduling.
- Instructors need to be able to access "Class List by Term."
- "Class List by Term" and "View All Available Classes" need to be custom sortable by all fields: Class Number, Class Name, Instructor, Room, and especially Date and Time.
- Would it be possible to add a feature to help create class schedules? One faculty member suggested a calendar table with the established dates/times for classes. It would be super awesome if whichever way you entered a class schedule, either on the class page or on the graphic calendar, GNECsis filled in the other one for us.

View All Available Classes is sortable and the button changed to ‘All Available Classes’. This can be filtered by college, department, and campus. Sorting by date/time is harder using the ‘M/W/F 8:00-9:00’, so I took your desire to have a date sorted list (#2) with having a full class list (#1), and added a ‘All Available Classes by Schedule’ page.
This page uses the actual dates/times associated with the standard schedule or the custom schedule, and sorts them by day/time. The top section are the standard classes (along with beginning and end dates to help with shorter classes) and below custom scheduled classes below.
Between these two pages, it should allow students and faculty to view classes in the different ways you were requesting.
For #3, on Academics > Administration > Class Scheduling for Term, if you click on room analysis, it will show you all class rooms and classes by day and time. It will then allow you to add classes from there and let you know of conflicts. It isn’t as grand at what you suggest above, but is something that can be used now. Will keep this suggestion in mind for the future.
