General questions - Delete button, Admissions, Transcript, & Academics

Dear Kindra,
Herewith below are items of requests.  Please check if you can add them in GNECSIS.
1. Can the DELETE button be moved to a place less likely to be clicked by mistake? It is right next to the return button, which is dangerous.
2. Is there a way to audit the admissions requirements?
Is there a way to flag it if everything is not complete, like it does for financial if everything is not paid?
We don’t need 100% of the check list items done for everyone, so a button that says “OK for enrollment” or something may be a possibility.
3. Transcript
We are wondering about the Transcript.
It seems for our purposes, most often, we need the class name & number listed even if the grade is not there. We recently had to do several "work arounds" to get this to happen.
One suggestion was to have a check box that you could choose from, to either include classes with no grades or include only classes with grades.
We are wondering what would be possible.
4. When searching (in either admissions or academics) can it default back to blank.
I always have to delete the prior name searched before I can type a new name to search.
5. Academics
Advanced Search – unable to search by citizenship
Personal—Involvement – need to add activities to a pick list (SBC, SWAP?)

We want a place to put this H.S. Exam/College entrance exam score so it can be part of CHED 9 Form.
There is a place under Academics—History—Ed History—H.S. Exam Score
But there is no way to add/update this.
Or do we want to add it to the Admissions—Prior Ed – Test Scores list?
But then would it be able to be exported to the CHED Form 9?
We need to have included: Name of exam, Score, Date taken

6. Admissions
Under Admissions – Prior Education – School Name – where it asks about date graduated & degree earned. We need several options added to the pick list for Degree type:
MDiv
Bachelors
Masters
Doctoral
Certificate
We need the general Bachelors for example as sometimes it is not given as a BA or BS.
Admissions – Prior Ed – Test scores
Can you add the following items in the list to receive a score:
Grammar
Listening
Reading
Essay

Admissions—Admissions--Requirements
Can the order of the Requirements list be changed? Preferred order would be:

Delete button can’t be moved,
  1. Delete button can’t be moved, but there is a “OK to delete this? “ Safety question on the delete buttons at the top in order to be sure that you don’t delete by mistake. You could also turn off the delete permission for certain people if needed.
  2. A) There is a report under Admissions > Reports called ‘Prospect Requirements’ that will show all active prospects and the status of each requirement. B) I would recommend you do make sure the checklist is done for everyone.  There is a button that you can mark them ‘Not Required’ or ‘Waived’ if a particular person doesn’t need something.  The admission status should also be used, to distinguish who is at what stage and who is ready.  You can add an additional status in System Administration > Pick Lists if you wish, maybe ready for approval or something?  Then have one person review them to make them a student.   You can search by status as well.
  3. A transcript only reports completed classes. It doesn’t matter about a grade.  If a class has been finished, but doesn’t have a grade yet, you can always go in to the student’s enrollment for that class (same place you set it to audit a class, change delivery method for a student, etc) and change it to Completed.  It will give you a warning saying you don’t have a grade, but it will let you continue.  This will allow it to show on the transcript.  Also, you could use the X or IP grade that you had previously used, this works also.  You could also use degree audit.
  4. We don’t do that, because you cant tell what you had searched for. It is fairly common for this to be like this on other search mechanisms. 
  5. A) Involvement is maintained through Extra-Curricular Activities, which is in Academics > Administration or Student Life > Administration. If you wish to start using this, let me know and I can add a search critiera on Student to drop down from this list.  You could also add some of these type things as student categories (more basic) but this is already available as a search criteria on student.  Will look at citizenship one that doesn’t seem to be working.  B) All entrance exam scores are part of Admissions and can be updated there.  If the exam isn’t there,
  6. A) You can add these yourself under Pick Lists > DegreeEarned B) The current list is a hard coded list. This will have to be added to the enhancement list for the future, and will take some time to do.  C) The order of the display is the order in which they are added within  Admissions > Administration > Admissions Tracks.  If you want a specific order, you might add a new Default Track, and change the prior one to no longer be active.  Then add the items in the order you want them to display.  This is very school specific.
