Dear Kindra,
Hi! Although you said in the past that Program Director or his/her staff assistant may Advise a student for a course with pre-requisites. However, it's still not working. For instance, the PhD-HCD Program Director's staff assistant was trying today to Advise a PhD student to take RE933. But then, she was still not allowed to advise the student, because she had not taken a pre-requisite course. See the attached screen shot down below. The truth is that, the pre-requisites were waived for the student because she has transferred credits. My suggestion is that could you put an option for the Academic Dean and Program Directors/Staff Assistant to be able to waive pre-requisites even upon Advising. As long as there is a reminder that pops-up requiring a pre-requisite. Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Judy :)

If the professor or program director is in the department of the class that they are trying to add, it will let them override the pre-requisite. If they are not, then it is correct. They do not have permission to give this access. If they do not have access, they can put a note in the comment field asking you to add the class.
Hi, Kindra! Thank you for the reply above. I have a follow up question. How can I add the Academic Dean/Program Director/Staff Assistant in the department of those classess with pre-requisites? Thank you.
You would add the faculty member as a member of those departments on the Faculty page.
