I think the only way to set the current academic term is to uncheck the previous term and then set the new term as active. Is it possible to add a start/stop date field so that as we build a new term, we can schedule when it will become the active term and when it will end. Then, we don't need to go back to each semester when it goes live as the system will make the change for us.
Thanks,

We've found that the current term is often more fluid and doesnt necessarily have a start and stop date. We will put this idea on hold and consider it for the future.

Is it possible to add an additional option to choose a start/end if wanted? The current way may offer some fluidity for those that "need" it but it creates a lot of margin for error for those with a static start time. ie. We spent a week with the previous semester as the active and students needed to change the year every time they looked at courses because we hadn't yet manually changed it in the system. And, the start of a semester is the busiest time of the term, it is an easy step to get lost.
